One limit worth reading twice.
Your limit counts recent clients, not your whole list.
Each plan's client limit is the number of different people you have sessions with this month and in the 2 months before it.
- The window moves with the calendar: each new month comes in and the oldest drops out.
- Clients with no session in that time stop counting, and count again when you next book them. A session marked cancelled still counts.
- Archiving a client changes nothing. The count comes from your sessions, not your client list.
- At the limit, you are asked to upgrade before booking a session with a client who would take you over it. The clients who already count can still be booked. Nothing is billed automatically, and the limit never blocks logging a session that already happened.

How billing works.
No card to start.
The Free plan is not a trial and does not expire. You add a card only when you choose a paid plan.
Monthly or yearly.
Pay each month, or pay for the year and get 2 months free. Prices are in US dollars.
Nothing billed by surprise.
Reach a limit and BonHand asks before you go further. It never moves you to a bigger plan or charges you on its own.
Past sessions are never capped.
Recording a session that already happened is never blocked by a plan limit, so your records stay complete.
Change plans in settings.
Plan changes are prorated. If you cancel, you keep full access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Your clients pay you.
Their money never passes through BonHand. You mark what was paid, or confirm what they report.

Who counts as one of my clients?
Anyone you have a session with this calendar month or in the 2 months before it. People with no session in that time do not count, so your client list can be longer than your limit. Archiving a client does not change the number, because it is counted from your sessions.
What happens if I reach a limit?
For clients, you are asked to upgrade before booking a session with a client who would take you over the limit. The clients who already count can still be booked. Nothing is billed automatically, and the limit never blocks logging a session that already happened. Drafted updates and brief refreshes start again at the beginning of each month. Until then, you can message clients yourself the way you do now.
What counts as a drafted update?
Each draft BonHand writes for you after a session. You still read it and send it yourself. Payment reminders are a plain list of unpaid sessions, never written by AI, so they do not count.
What is a client brief?
The History card on each client's page: the facts worth remembering and a short note on where things stand, picked up from your session notes. On Free and Starter you press Refresh to bring it up to date. On Growth it updates itself as you log sessions.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Yes, from your billing settings, and changes are prorated. A smaller plan, or cancelling to Free, is offered once your current client count fits inside it. If you cancel, you keep full access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Do my clients pay through BonHand?
No. Your clients pay you directly, exactly as they do now. BonHand keeps track of what is owed and paid, and lets clients report a payment for you to confirm.
How does founding pricing work?

Are prices in my currency?
Plans are priced and billed in US dollars. The fees you charge your own clients can be in your own currency.
